Ravi Kant was awarded the first prize for best oral presentation at the ‘National conference on Nano-device (Modelling, Simulations and Fabrication)’, very recently held at Hindustan Institute of Technology, Mathura. His delivered a talk entitled ‘Heavy metal ion detection using reduced graphene oxide prepared via green synthesis approach.’ In the following image he is taking award certificate from Dr. Sudershan Kumar (Chief Controller R & D, DRDO, Delhi Ministry of Defence) and Dr. R. K. Upadhyay (Director of Hindustan College of Science & Technology, Mathura) is in the middle. April, 2015
Pradeepkumar Sundarraj, has received the prestigious Bhaskara Advanced Solar Energy (BASE) Fellowship Program award. Pradeepkumar would be working in National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL), US as part of this fellowship program. Jointly funded by the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Govt. of India, and the Indo-U.S. Science and Technology Forum (IUSSTF), it provides fully funded internship for the best and brightest Indian students and scientists to promote research and capacity building in the frontline area of Solar Energy to address India-centric issues. It would also provide Pradeepkumar the opportunity to gain exposure and access to world class research facilities in the U.S. institution for six months duration. December, 2014.

Let's talk Nano. Susanta Sinha Roy delivered a talk within the nanotechnology community of University of Alberta, Canada.
Title: "Carbon nanotubes and graphene: ways of formation and novel applications"
Graphene nanomesh : Nature India: 2011
New research has shown that nitrogen and hydrogen plasma generated through microwave could convert multilayer graphene into a monolayer with a nanomesh like structure. Such monolayer graphene could have wide range of applications in nanoelectronics.
